Dear Members,

Clipping mask can be used to create great effects. Lets find out the
details of the procedure.

1. Open Photoshop.

2. Open new file.

3. Type PHOTO using text tool. Fill is with some color.

4. Try to use thick font with big size to get the proper effect.

5. Create a new layer. Keep it selected. We will draw ellipse on
this.

6. Select elliptical marquee tool and draw ellipse in such a way
to occupy major portion of the text which we typed in the layer below.

7. Fill with some different color other than text.

8. Press CTRL + D to deselect the ellipse.

9. Make sure that the top layer is still selected.

10. Go to Layer > Create Clipping Mask

11. The ellipse is merged with the text.

12. It is merged in such a way that it shows only in the text
body and not the white space around.
